A tried and true East Coaster, Phyllis Koenig’s roots stem back to her love of photography and all things cinematic. After studying film & television at Boston University and Emerson College, Phyllis pursued a career in photojournalism until the last and final snowstorm launched her dramatically and swiftly from Boston to Los Angeles. Working as an Executive Producer and Producer prior to opening Über Content, Phyllis has worked with and nurtured some of the most creative directors in the industry. Founded in 2005 by partners Phyllis Koenig and Preston Lee, Über Content known for its renowned traditional and non-traditional directorial talent. Garnering acclaim & awards from the best Ad Agencies in the business, Über’s core filmmaking is based in advertising, however they’ve recently launched a Film and Television Department for quality Long & Short Film & TV Format Projects. Proudly, Über presents “Love and a Lug Wrench”, an understated film about, well, love – and maybe a lug wrench.
ROB STARK // PRODUCER
Rob Stark is a Producer based in Los Angeles. After studying Photography and Fine Art in Glasgow, Scotland he begun his career working on feature films in Scotland. He spent some time working in London and France before moving to the US. In the US he worked on the development and production of several features before returning to TV commercials where he now works with commercial, TV and feature directors. robstarkphotography.com
Brian Groh // Writer
Brian Groh is a Los Angeles-based writer known for creating rich characters struggling with moral dilemmas in conflict-driven stories. Rural settings and blue collar themes abound in this Missouri Native’s written works that have won awards and appeared in dozens of festivals and competitions worldwide. Mixing comedy into dark material, Brian is immortal on Funny or Die and has penned episodes of running web-series' as well as doing punch ups on scripts for such esteemed screenwriters as Tracy Letts and The Farrelly Brothers. His passion is for seeing written material do more than sit on the page waiting to be produced. He frequently workshops his scripts with actors at Naked Angel's "Tuesdays@9" reading series in Los Angeles.
ABBY MILLER // ALLISON
Abby Miller was born in Nebraska, studied in London, and now resides in Los Angeles. Since arriving in LA she has been in over 50 national commercials, guested and starred on such shows as Mad Men, Private Practice, Caper and Booth at the End to name a few. She is best known for her work on Justified, where she played the "hooker with the heart of gold" Ellen May. And most recently she played in the NBC series Aquarius where she'll be portraying Mary Brunner, a member of the Manson family.
Ben Wilson // Pete
Ben Wilson, an actor, writer and Odd-Jobs-Man from Nebraska, received his BFA in Acting from Ithaca College. He has appeared on stage, screen, TV, the Internet and in real life, wherever he is. Highlights include SUPAH NINJAS, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS THE MOVIE, the BBC-produced Internet series GIGI and most importantly - LOVE & A LUG WRENCH. He’d like to thank friends, family, Polly & Cyrus and the marvelous cast + crew of LOVE & A LUG WRENCH for making the project such a delight.
Alfred Adderly // SECURITY GUARD
Alfred Adderly was born in Miami, Florida and began acting professionally in Nova Scotia, Canada in the stage play “Whose Life is it Anyway?” After several years of training in Florida and landing several national commercials and starring in several films, Alfred decided to move to Los Angeles. Since landing in LA, Alfred has starred on such shows as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bones, Awkward, and General Hospital. He is hilariously known for his role as “Cheb” on Sam and Cat. He can be seen in an upcoming episode of the new series “Fresh off the Boat”, as well as starring in the feature KILLING HASSELHOFF, set for release in 2015. He enjoys being a mentor to at-risk youth, and is a motivational speaker. He is also a decorated Navy Veteran, and one proud American.
Carl Anderson // ALLISON'S HUSBAND
Carl Bradley Anderson was bran and raised on Pendleton, Oregon. Since high school he has lived and worked in Missouri, Washington, and New York City. He currently resides in Los Angeles. He studied theatre and got his BFA at Pacific Lutheran University and went on to get his MFA from the University of Missouri-Kansas. In addition to working in film, television, commercials, and stage, he teaches Theatre Arts at Santa Monica College and works as an EMT/Lake Lifeguard for Los Angeles County.
CHRISTOPHE LANZENBERG // DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Hailing from Paris as a Los Angeles transplant, Christophe has shot benchmark projects for The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, INXS, Cindy Lauper, Billy Idol, and many more artists. In 2006, Christophe received the award for Best Cinematography at the Durban International Film Festival for his work on Aaron Wiederspahn’s THE SENSATION OF SIGHT. He has since shot several other features including Paul Soter’s WATCHING THE DETECTIVES and Gillian Greene’s MURDER OF A CAT, which was selected for the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.
